Kate focuses on transactional law within the Real Estate & Development practice area, with a keen interest in renewable energy projects.
Driven by a passion for teamwork and collaboration nurtured as a collegiate soccer player, Kate was motivated to pursue a legal career where she could solve intricate challenges for clients. Before diving into the legal world, she gained a strong background in finance through her undergraduate business degree and financial internships. This foundation helps her understand major economic factors influencing businesses, aiding in adopting a business-oriented approach during deals.
During her time in law school, Kate connected deeply with all property-related classes, especially those on land use, sales, and leasing. However, her interest in the real estate and development field can be traced back to her family: watching her dad’s work in commercial real estate made her enthusiastic about the practice area from the beginning. Kate is especially passionate about real estate within the energy sector and focuses much of her time on renewable energy projects.
Prior to joining the firm as a full associate, Kate spent a summer with Husch Blackwell, assisting with transactional work and delving into leases and mergers. She loved helping deals develop and grow from beginning to closing.
Kate’s knack for piecing together complex puzzles—nurtured during an FBI internship—combines with her self-discipline and team spirit to make her a dedicated and collaborative attorney.
