Katie defends clients in complex commercial litigation.

Katie is dedicated to helping clients with complex litigation matters and is particularly experienced in the insurance and insolvency sectors. She has experience serving clients overseeing insurance company receiverships, including the rehabilitation and liquidation of insurers. Katie assists with the investigation and prosecution of third party claims brought on behalf of insolvent insurers in liquidation and has navigated corporate transactions for companies involved in insurance receiverships. Additionally, Katie has experience with data security incidents, with a focus on compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting standards. She also works with commercial lenders to enforce their rights through foreclosures, litigation, and bankruptcy proceedings involving defaulted borrowers.

With a keen awareness of clients' needs, Katie's priority is to ensure clients feel supported and that she fully understands their needs and goals. Katie is steadfastly detail oriented and efficient to ensure clients receive the best outcomes and utmost service.

Katie is an avid reader and enjoys baking, running, and traveling. She has visited 12 countries, with her favorites being New Zealand and Italy.

A Kansas City transplant from Nebraska, Katie is a die-hard Cornhusker football fan and still holds on to hope that someday the Huskers will be as good as they were in the 90s.

Community Leadership

Katie has long served as a blood donor to her local community blood bank, donating regularly since age 17. She’s currently a member of the “Three Gallons Club” and is steadily working toward her next total of four gallons donated.
