Katie matches clients' passion for making a difference in St. Louis and adds her savvy in real estate deals.

Katie helps clients bring new jobs and economic development to the city and change the landscape of the region. She enjoys the challenge of representing developers and municipalities in complex real estate transactions. She guides clients through all stages of real estate development: from negotiation and acquisition through the leasing and sale of properties. She has experience with commercial and office leases for both landlords and tenants.

Katie also advises clients on a broad spectrum of real estate financing matters, including tax increment and public financing. She is adept at using economic development tools such as tax abatement, annexation, subdivision, community improvement districts and transportation development districts and is a member of the cutting-edge team that leverages its knowledge of Opportunity Zones to maximize clients' tax advantages.

In addition, Katie counsels nonprofit corporations with general real estate issues, most often assisting religious organizations with the purchase and sale of their property.

Katie serves on the firm's Executive Recruiting Committee and has overseen work coordination for summer associates.

Outside the Office

Katie is an avid runner. She trained for her first marathon in spring 2019. She also spends her free time with her parents and siblings and enjoys exploring the restaurant scene in St. Louis.
