Katie’s specialty: Delivering excellent service in high-pressure situations.
Katie began her career working as a residential housing professional on three university campuses across the U.S. In her roles, she lived in and managed residence halls, each home to hundreds of college students. This work exposed Katie to several aspects of higher education administration including risk management, crisis response, student support and customer service.
Moreover, while at Southern Methodist University, Katie worked closely with the vice president of student affairs to create a five-year strategic plan for the University that focused on efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and the student experience. This experience was so rewarding that it served as the spark that launched Katie’s interest in pursuing a legal career.
Katie knows that in her commercial litigation practice, it helps to be a jack of all trades. She interfaces with professionals in healthcare, higher education, and many other industries that allow her to use her background to help clients understand the multiple challenges – and opportunities – that may arise.
