Kristina advises clients on healthcare regulatory compliance.
Kristina’s decision to pursue a legal career was driven by her experiences on the business side of healthcare, where she saw the critical role of compliance and regulation in maintaining the balance between patient care, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability. Her passion for healthcare law was solidified during her time in law school, particularly through a transactional drafting course that highlighted the importance of clarity in legal agreements and a seminar that ignited her interest in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and medical privacy.
Prior to law school, Kristina worked in various healthcare business roles at a revenue cycle management company and a healthcare valuation firm. These positions provided insight into healthcare regulations, contract analysis, and financial modeling, and she regularly dealt with the complexities of regulations such as HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute. Kristina’s experience with the challenges and opportunities that arise in the intersection of business operations and regulatory frameworks makes her passionate about contributing to legal solutions that drive both organizational success and ethical standards.
Kristina’s background also includes valuable experience from a judicial externship with the Colorado Court of Appeals. The role honed her legal research and writing skills and provided her with a deeper understanding of judicial decision-making. Her ability to draft precise and persuasive legal documents was significantly enhanced during this time.
Kristina is known for her practical approach to legal issues, strong research and writing abilities, and commitment to providing clear, well-reasoned advice. Clients value her ability to advocate effectively while maintaining a strategic focus on problem-solving.
