Will focuses on banking and finance law.
A member of the firm’s Banking & Finance team, Will assists with consumer finance litigation, defending lenders against allegations of Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collections Practice Act violations. With a gift for research and for spotting discrepancies in the plaintiff’s case, Will particularly shines during discovery and other pre-litigation work.
In addition to his role as a litigator, Will also supports lending and refinancing transactions, generally representing banks. He negotiates and drafts various transactional documents, working to get deals over the line.
An internship with a real estate development company highlighted for Will the crucial role lawyers play in the business world, prompting him to pursue a legal career. After a summer as a Husch Blackwell summer associate provided him with hands-on experience working with transactional attorneys, reviewing documents, and attending client meetings, he joined the firm full-time upon graduation.
Will is known for his effective communication skills and his ability to listen and provide guidance. His enthusiasm for financing matters and his curiosity to find solutions make him a valuable asset to clients.
