National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Denver-based partners Brian Kinnear and Jessica Fuller have been named to Law Week Colorado’s Barrister's Best issue for 2024.
Kinnear has been honored as the best intellectual property lawyer (non-litigator) in the state, as chosen by the people’s choice vote. Fuller has been honored as the best class action/mass tort lawyer for defendants in the state, as chosen by Barrister’s choice.
Kinnear represents clients in patent prosecution, assisting with patent applications, drafting responses to USPTO Office Actions, and providing guidance on overall patent strategies. In addition, he is frequently brought in to assist in all facets of litigation.
Kinnear, who draws on his background as an electrical engineer, has prepared and prosecuted patent applications on artificial intelligence, satellite imaging, medical devices, and complex fractal encoding and decoding, and myriad business methods for clients across various industries. Before becoming an attorney, Kinnear was an engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense where he helped upgrade the nuclear power plant for fast attack submarines in service with the U.S. Navy.
Fuller is an experienced litigator representing clients across various industries, with a focus on nonprofit organizations and religious institutions. She represents clients in litigation and government investigations, advises on legal risk management and other corporate legal matters, oversees internal investigations, and provides guidance on crisis management and public relations. Fuller also handles bet-the-company cases, mass exposure cases, class action defense and settlements, as well as other complex commercial litigation matters.
The annual Barrister’s Best issue highlights the top attorneys in the state’s most popular practice areas. Winners are selected based on votes from Colorado attorneys, legal marketers, support staff, judges, in-house counsel, and judicial officers.
