Chambers USA 2016 Gives Husch Blackwell High Rankings in Eight Areas of Law; 34 Attorneys Recognized

Chambers USA, one of the leading legal ratings agencies in the United States, has announced its 2016 rankings. Husch Blackwell received high honors in eight areas of practice, maintaining its favorable reputation among industry leaders. The firm was recognized in the areas of Corporate/Commercial, Corporate/M&A, Environment, Healthcare, Intellectual Property, Labor & EmploymentLitigation: General Commercial and Real Estate.

Chambers said Husch Blackwell’s Corporate/Commercial team is “acknowledged for its wide-reaching strength in corporate and commercial law, with significant capabilities in financing, M&A and securities, and with notable experience dealing with renewable energy and biofuel resources."

With regard to the firm’s Corporate/M&A work, Chambers said Husch Blackwell “provides the full suite of corporate services, with particularly strong performance on high-value M&A, deals and private equity work” representing “major clients in the food, agriculture, manufacturing and energy industries.”

Chambers stated that Husch Blackwell’s Environmental team offers “strong experience in litigation and regulatory compliance” and “has built up an impressive client base in the agricultural and chemical manufacturing industries.” A client said, “They are smart, strategic thinkers about litigation.”

In the area of Intellectual Property, Chambers called Husch Blackwell “a preeminent firm noted for the strength of its patent practice, which also has an impressive record in trademark and copyright law. “ The firm is “highly regarded for success in patent application, prosecution and litigation across a variety of industries, including medical equipment and retail.” A client said, “The attorneys at the firm are all very personable and proactive.”

Chambers said Husch Blackwell’s Labor & Employment group “possesses extensive trial experience in FLSA and wage and hour class actions.” One client stated, “They have a strong bench and a strong commitment to the employment practice.”
