Jasmine Martel, Taylor Wood Named to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in Texas

National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Jasmine Martel and Taylor Wood have been selected by The National Black Lawyers (NBL) for inclusion in its Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers, an honor given to a select group of lawyers with reputations for providing excellent representation in their respective practice areas.

Based in Houston, Martel is a member of the firm’s International Trade & Supply Chain practice team. She understands the importance of identifying and addressing risks within international trade, specifically regarding regulatory compliance and supply chain security. Martel’s practice includes advising businesses on ways to ensure that their international supply chains are protected and secured from origin to destination.

Wood, a senior associate in Austin, is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Construction industry group. Wood guides clients in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing purchases and sales, development, lease agreements, easements, phase 1 environmental assessments, and economic incentives.

The NBL celebrates legal excellence by promoting attorneys as subject-matter experts, developing a strong national network of top African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of timely information to enable members to maintain their status as leaders. Additionally, Javon Johnson has been selected by NBL for inclusion in its Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers. Johnson is based in Husch Blackwell’s Dallas office and is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice team.
