Overview

Destinee defends clients in commercial litigation, asbestos litigation, and product liability matters.

A member of the firm’s Chicago office, Destinee serves as national coordinating counsel for toxic tort litigation, with a particular focus in Illinois’s Cook County – a notoriously difficult venue for defendants. She takes depositions, prepares motions, assists in defense strategy, and manages and monitors clients’ asbestos matters in the jurisdiction.

While much of her focus is on product liability litigation, Destinee has also developed experience in the product safety realm. She advises product manufacturers, importers, and distributors on regulatory compliance, recalls, and safety issues, helping them minimize risk and ensure adherence to industry standards set by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Her work as a litigator makes her highly aware of where product safety matters can go wrong.

Destinee’s legal career has been long in coming: she decided to become an attorney when she was five years old and never wavered. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Marvin E. Aspen of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
