Lisa, an experienced litigator, defends clients in toxic tort matters from inception to trial or settlement.
She has represented suppliers, product manufacturers, contractors, and automotive companies and manufacturers in product liability, premises liability and toxic tort matters for more than 20 years, overseeing discovery, depositions, expert witness retention and preparation, pretrial motions, trial preparation and settlement negotiations. Clients have ranged from small family businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Lisa also has significant experience representing contractors and subcontractors in residential and complex construction defect disputes. Prior, she has litigated and managed large dockets of construction defect matters pending in California. Lisa has frequently served as local counsel in notoriously difficult jurisdictions.
Prior to practicing law, Lisa earned a degree in Journalism & Mass Communications that serves her well in the discovery and investigation phases of litigation. She is especially adept at sorting through differing accounts and stories to discern the facts of a case.
Lisa has also received training and a certificate in mediation skills. Over the course of her career, she’s built a reputation as a gifted negotiator who knows how to work well with co-counsel, defense counsel and opposing counsel to achieve clients’ goals.
Prior to joining her first firm, Lisa worked in-house for a transportation and logistics company, an experience that gave her an inside understanding of how legal and business concerns mix. She knows that clients are often wrestling with risk management issues, internal operational questions and overall litigation strategy, and she readily sees the bigger picture beyond an individual piece of litigation.
Known as a resolution-oriented litigator, Lisa aims to incorporate business solutions into legal resolutions.
