Melissa is a detail-oriented paralegal who’s extensively familiar with file creation and the firm’s internal systems.
Prior to her paralegal role, Melissa was a member of the firm’s Information Governance team, where she worked in file creation, record keeping and file auditing. Her experience means she knows the firm’s document tracking systems inside and out, and she has a keen eye for the filing and document irregularities that can derail a case.
Melissa pursued paralegal work out of a desire to challenge herself and to work with a wide variety of cases. Today, she supports senior paralegals and attorneys on the Toxic Tort team with busy dockets and national coordinating counsel work. Known for her communication skills, efficiency, and detail-oriented nature, Melissa assists with fact investigation, legal research, and document preparation and production; creates and prepares subfiles and trial exhibit notebooks; files pleadings, exhibits and correspondence; and maintains case management databases.
