Mitchell represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
Mitchell has a diverse litigation practice where he handles a wide variety of business disputes—from breach of contract to shareholder or investor disputes to consumer litigation to general liability matters—in state and federal court throughout all stages of litigation. He thrives on the intellectual challenge of working with an array of complex areas of law, and he’s enthusiastic about representing clients across a wide range of industries. Much of Mitchell’s recent work has been concentrated in the manufacturing and technology spheres.
Mitchell first discovered his passion for advocacy during moot court competitions as a law student, and he went on to begin his legal career as an assistant district attorney in Hampden County, Massachusetts, one of the busiest district courts in the state. There, he first chaired multiple trials and dozens of evidentiary hearings, giving him an unusually high level of trial experience for an early-career attorney. The work left him truly comfortable in a courtroom and taught him how crucial the trial preparation stage is—both to success in court, and to preventing trial in the first place. Mitchell is never afraid to try a case—a fact which generally helps him resolve matters outside of court more favorably and efficiently.
Known for his intense preparation, Mitchell especially enjoys getting to know clients’ businesses and their industries. He understands that in litigation, nothing replaces knowing the facts, the context, and the client, and he aims to learn as much as he can in order to deliver the best result possible.
