A results-driven attorney who’s not afraid to go to trial, Monica helps clients achieve the best results possible in toxic tort cases. She practices from Moorestown, New Jersey as a member of our virtual office, The Link.
Monica began her legal career in general commercial litigation, handling matters as diverse as construction defect, fraud, labor and employment issues, class action suits and other business disputes. She thrived on the intellectual challenge and found great satisfaction in winning for clients. Soon, she began to work with toxic tort matters and was quickly fascinated by the practice area’s complexity and scientific questions. Monica knew she’d found the perfect calling for her analytical, curious mind.
Today, Monica serves on the national coordinating counsel team for major multinational clients, assisting with asbestos litigation across the country. She has extensive experience representing clients in notoriously difficult Pennsylvania venues, including those in the Philadelphia area, successfully avoiding the massive defense verdicts that often occur in these jurisdictions. While Monica is a gifted negotiator experienced at achieving favorable settlements, she is always ready to go to trial when in a client’s best interest. Monica has tried both bench and jury trials to verdict.
With a proactive focus on results from the beginning of case intake, Monica never sees litigation as a checklist. Her goal is always to keep cases moving forward, which can mean strategic consideration of which stages of litigation can be bypassed for a faster, more efficient resolution. Monica’s practical approach means pursuing whichever option—settlement, mediation or trial—best suits a client’s needs and overall position: with hundreds of suits across the country, Monica takes care to ensure that she’s looking after a client’s best interests not only in an individual case, but over their entire national litigation strategy.
