Saagari defends clients in mass tort and product liability matters.
Saagari came to the practice of law out of a passion for reading and writing and a love of interacting with people. Law, she thought, was the rare profession where she would have the opportunity to read and write at high volumes while also working directly with clients—and with courts. An avid fiction reader, Saagari was drawn to litigation because of its storytelling aspects, and she thrives on presenting a narrative in the most persuasive manner possible. Her reading also gives her a natural ability to put herself in both the client’s and the opposition’s shoes, helping her readily spot potential resolutions.
After a background in corporate accidents and catastrophic personal injury cases, Saagari joined Husch Blackwell’s Mass Tort and Product Liability team in 2025. She handles silicosis and asbestos litigation, as well as lawsuits involving allegedly defective products, including medical equipment. Saagari has experience in all phases of litigation up to trial, including discovery, drafting and arguing motions, deposing and preparing expert witnesses, and appearing for court hearings and oral argument. She took hundreds of depositions in her just first couple years in practice.
At the beginning of her legal career, Saagari served in-house as field counsel for a major insurance company, representing policyholders who had been sued. The role gave her an up-close view of how frightening litigation was for defendants, and she realizes that at their core, corporations and in-house attorneys can be just as stressed as individuals. Saagari quickly developed a gift for communicating complex matters in a readily digestible way, and she learned the importance of responsiveness and availability. Her goal is for clients to always feel comfortable reaching out for her help.
Saagari’s time in-house also means that she understands clients’ workflow and their needs, allowing her to serve them in the most helpful way possible.
