Shawn assists clients in complex commercial, mass tort, and real estate litigation, as well as a diverse array of transactional matters.

Shawn was motivated to pursue a career in law by his commitment to resolve challenges, positioning himself not just as an attorney but as solutions provider in litigation and real estate matters, particularly condominium and homeowners’ associations (HOAs). Driven by a passion for crafting intricate arguments, Shawn has handled litigation over a wide variety of legal issues. His broad courtroom experience has earned him a solid reputation as a formidable advocate and strategic communicator.

Prior to joining the firm, Shawn primarily represented financial institutions and lenders, in addition to managing a range of contract disputes and civil litigation cases. Currently, he provides skilled guidance to clients on diverse facets of litigation spanning multiple state and federal jurisdictions.

Shawn is known for his commercial insight, which is augmented by a Master’s of Business Administration acquired prior to his legal education. His background provides him with a comprehensive understanding of client business practices and a solid grasp of clients’ strategic considerations, goals, and operational obstacles. Shawn strives to align his legal counsel with the pragmatic demands of the corporate environment.

Beyond his legal practice, Shawn is a respected contributor to the legal community. He serves on the Community Association Institute’s Wisconsin Legislative Action Committee, having previously served as the chair and federal liaison from 2022-2024. Moreover, he is dedicated to the professional growth of emerging attorneys, guiding them through the intricacies of litigation and fostering their career advancement.
