"Had it not been for the immigration expertise of Husch Blackwell LLP, our top candidate might not have been secured. Kelli Meilink and Christine Fabin are experienced in the intricate details of the visa application process and have an extensive network to ensure positive results. They respond timely to inquiries and created a thorough visa application. They studied our institution, gaining an in-depth knowledge of our mission; then successfully presented our foreign candidate as an unequalled applicant for the position."

Overview

For Christine, immigration law is personal. She takes a hands-on, thoughtful approach to every step of the process.

As a former corporate attorney for a multi-billion dollar company, Christine understands that in order for organizations to operate at their best, they need the best and brightest talent—which can mean hiring outside the U.S., or recruiting international workers and students. Christine works with organizations that hire foreign nationals, assisting them with:

  • Sponsorship petitions and applications for work authorization
  • Immigration policy development and training programs
  • Regulatory compliance and I-9 due diligence
  • Preparing nonimmigrant petitions, immigrant petitions, PERM and employment-based green cards
  • Representation before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Department of State

She's passionate about helping client companies thrive through their hiring practices, and finds it immensely rewarding to see a business grow thanks to her assistance with immigration law. Her aim is to tailor her legal strategies to the specific recruitment and business needs of each client.

Before joining the firm, Christine was counsel for a technology company, leading their multi-national immigration and global mobility efforts. Previously, she worked as an attorney for a boutique immigration law firm in Kansas City, where she provided immigration support to small businesses, tech-focused startups, multi-national organizations, and companies in the healthcare, education and engineering industries.

Christine also finds great satisfaction in helping foreign nationals navigate the immigration process and join the U.S. workforce. As a first-generation Egyptian-American, she understands the huge impact immigration has on families: she's proud of the contributions her own family has made to the United States, and she's excited to help others do the same.

Outside the Office

Christine loves to travel – to visit family in New York or California – or to any beach destination.

When she’s at home, you can often find her cooking, spending time outdoors with her German Shepherd, gardening or savoring a cup of tea. Christine is a passionate tea drinker who enjoys teas from all over, but her favorite is the cardamom popular in her parents’ native Egypt.
